Kanye West feat. Elly Jackson – That’s My Bitch

Initially released as a free download during the Good Friday period,  when Kanye West released a new free download track each Friday between October 2010 and Christmas via his official website. One of many stand out tracks rumoured to be included on Kanye West x Jay-Z collaborative album “Watch The Throne.” is “That’s My Bitch.” which features the vocal stylings of Elly Jackson of La Roux. In a recent interview with MTV, when asked what sound and direction “Watch The Throne.” would take, Kanye said that the album is “going to be very dark and sexy, like couture hip hop.” Watch the throne is due to be released Summer 2011 by Def Jam Recordings. Here what the track sounds like now.

Calvin Harris – Bounce feat. Kelis


DJ/Producer/vocalist Calvin Harris may not have released an album for two years, however he returns with a hot new single called bounce “Bounce.” featuring Kelis. The video not shot by Colin Tiley directed by Vicent Haycock and co directed by Ag Rojas depicts a day in the life of a LA street kid who ends up at a Calvin Harris gig in Las Vegas.

Yves Saint Laurent – “L’Amour Fou”

This exclusive clip taken from new documentary L’Amour Fou translated as “Mad Love” is a glimpse from the film exploring the legendary Designer’s greatest Passions. The Director Pierre Thoretton was introduced to Yves Saint-Laurent through mutual friend Catherine Deneuve, and gained unprecedented access to rare intimate photographs of the designer by Helmut Newton and William Klein. L’Amour Fou’s point of entry is the three-day, 2009 Christies auction of the Creator’s art collection following Saint Laurent’s death. The “sale of the century” comprised works by Manet, Picasso and Matisse, art deco furniture and Roman antiquities, amounting to a staggering $480 million (divided between the Yves Saint Laurent Foundation and AIDS charities). The director adds that the collection is a reflection of the integration of his taste and also “It was the growth of his  vision of beauty and aesthetic in the world.”

L’Amour Fou” opens tomorrow in Paris Theatre, The ultimate entertainment space for New Yorkers the IFC Center and soon in the Uk in select cinemas on May 20th

Throwback Movie of the week : La Haine

“La Haine” is a French black-and-white film written, co-edited, and directed by Mathieu Kassovitz. Released in 1995 and widely critically acclaimed the movie details the aftermath of a riot on an impoverished Paris housing project and reflects with dexterity a fatalistic account of society’s decline.  In French with English subtitles the movie is Superbly acted by Vincent Cassel, Saïd Taghmaoui and Hubert Koundé and Brilliantly executed. The movie is Doper than Cream

Tinie Tempah – Foreign Object (MIXTAPE)

Tinie Tempah has been hard at work promoting Disc-Overy in America ahead of the stateside album release (out may 17th). While recording additional material for the American version of Disc-Overy re release, visiting many high profile television shows and performing. Tinie Tempah real name Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu has released a new mixtape titled “Foreign Object.” The tape is mixed by DJ Whoo Kid and hosted by Russell Brand offering US fans the opportunity to sample what the Double Plantinumn selling South London based rapper has to offer.
