Bottle your Summer with Carling Zest App Recap

So yesterday we told you about the new app that Carling have brought out to promote their new flavour of beer. And being the inquisitive people we are we thought we’d take some time to check it out ourselves. Basically the aim is to produce a two minute track, with a selection of samples provided, these range from dogs barking to bottles being opened.

Took some time for us to get used to all the controls but in the end we created something beautiful. In fact, this may well revolutionize the music industry… well maybe revolutionize is a bit strong, but you can certainly spend a couple of hours messing around with samples and pretending you’re a producer. And while you’re at it you could win the competition and bag yourself a free weekend at V Festival. Need I say more?

Rita Ora Scores Role As Judge On British X Factor

Rita Ora was invited to be a guest judge for the London auditions for this years British X Factor. The Roc Nation Superstar and Style Icon that is Rita Ora joined fellow judges Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos at the O2 Arena in London. X Factor officials are yet to confirm Ms Ora is a permanent addition to the team, however many have expressed concern over the fact that Rita Ora who has managed to score two consecutive number one singles in the UK (R.I.P) and (Hot Right Now) has no business judging others before she has even released a debut album. Leaving many asking the question what does Rita Ora have to offer, A singer who attended the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School, grew up in West London, hustled a weekend job at Size on Portobello Road, her talent captured the attention of a US label leading to a record deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, Rita is a brand new artist with fresh ideas, amazing vocal ability, songwriting credits, years of industry experience, style, beauty, charisma and swag, which in our opinion is what the X-factor needs.

Plan B Ill Manors [Movie Trailer]

Plan B developed Ill Manors to highlight world majority of people don’t believe exists:
“Best known so far for his music career, Plan B today releases his hard-hitting directorial debut Ill Manors – an eye-opening portrait of crime on the streets of Britain – and talked about his intentions for making the movie. The film depicts prostitution, drug abuse, violence and gang culture, tracing the individuals right back to the source of their predicament, which lead to the situation that they find themselves in. Plan B aka Ben Drew has insisted that, despite all of the events occurring in the space of a week, the film is indeed an accurate depiction of what happens in some areas of London.”

Nas & Eminem and Kanye West in “SOMETHING FROM NOTHING: THE ART OF RAP” Outtakes

This is some clips featuring Nas, Eminem and Kanye West from Ice-T’s new hip-hop documentary Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap. The first take is the Queens Finest Nas droping some knowledge followed up y Eminem going for a similar style and finally there is Artist Genius Kanye West, speaking on his writing process for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy after the jump. MR TINIE TEMPAH HAS THE LOOK FOR MR PORTER

After a lovely trip in West Hollywood editor of British Esquire Mr Alex Bilmes took some time in a middle of Photo-Shoot for Mr Porter to interview the The most exciting British male solo artist MR Tinie Tempah to discuss his recent stardom, his now multi-purpose brand – Disturbing London that we noticed the very appealing fashion part of is he also discus about his heritage as he is a descent or Nigerian Parents. Here is what he says on the matters:

“It was about discipline in everything you do,” he says. “I was always told that because I am of Nigerian heritage I’d have to work 10 times harder. You take a bit of what you want from [what you’re told as a child], and you get rid of the rest, but I really believed that, and you’ve got nothing to lose if you believe that. If you work 10 times as hard as anyone else, you’re going to do well.”
