Rapper A$AP Rocky was in London last week to promote his #1 debut album, LONG.LIVE.A$AP, which is out now. Whilst in town the “Fashion Killer.” Rapper visited London based online high fashion retailers oki-ni participating in a self styled editorial exclusive.
“As fans of his music will know, Raf Simons and Rick Owens are usually what he’s dressed in, but on his recent visit to London we invited the New York rapper to try out a range of oki-ni brands including new spring/summer ’13 pieces from Margiela, Kenzo and Paul Smith.”

Kenzo’s 2013 Fall/Winter collection draws inspiration from travel, military and sky bound goods as themes. Cloud formation featured heavily on various different pieces, also camouflage patterns in variations of red, burgundy and navy created statement pieces mixing sharp tailoring, modern shapes with more abstract patterns and bold striking prints. Versace’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection features bold pattern and masculine silhouettes, Donatella Versace adds loud prints, transparent fabrics, and iconic monochromatic pieces. The collection is unapologetically Versace, utilising Italian tailoring and skilled workmanship to create luxury large furs, draped outerwear and sharp suit jackets inspired by Mafia/Gangsta references. Jil Sanders presents a vision of Epic Masculinity in a collection which expertly utilises pattern, FOR Fall/Winter 2013 Jil uses texture to create a classic military inspired collection. No use of military boots or camouflage, jil manages to create a timeless collection that looks luxury and expensive where other collections which claim to be military inspired fail by appear tacky and predictable.
