This issue is dedicated to 1993. But at its core, it’s about the future and Dazed & Confused Magazine wanted to shine a spotlight on a selection of emerging musicians, actors, photographers, models and artists born in that year because their generation is the first to live wholly in the age of the browser.
Without harnessing the power of the web, Chance The Rapper wouldn’t be staring at you from our cover. In just one day, his mixtape Acid Rap was downloaded 50,000 times. Twenty years ago, that kind of exposure was reserved for artists with a major-label deal and a hefty PR budget. Chance is still willingly unsigned. He’s in no hurry to change the situation.
