Lady Leshurr has just thrilled the crowds at Glastonbury and picked up praise from Stormzy, The Guardian, BBC 1Xtra and many more. She has also sold-out the Islington Academy and supported Alicia Keys at her one–off show at the Village Underground in June. Earlier this year she performed with Jake Bugg and The 1975 at Kentish Town Forum as part of a BBC Radio 1 Annie Mac Headliners gig, taking on a whole new audience.
Lady Leshurr first burst into the public consciousness in 2013. Born and bred in Birmingham, she has carved out a career on her own terms, rejecting earlier offers from labels to forge her own unique path. From learning to DJ in her local youth club, she has given something back with Lady Leshurr’s Rap College a project based in London and Birmingham where she dispenses advice and techniques to local kids. Currently recording her debut album in the UK and the US, its due for release early 2017 and will be one of the most anticipated records of the year.
