On December 20th, Foot Locker tweeted that it would be releasing the Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October” on December 27th exclusively via its online store. Despite the shoes designer Rapper Kanye West publicly announcing the end of his brand partnership with Nike and his transition from Nike to adidas (for whom he has apparently already designed 20 shoes) However today it is becoming uncertain if the “Red October” will be released at all. Today Foot Locker cancelled the release taking to twitter to make the below announcement. The tweet also suggests that no new date has been confirmed by Nike. After all the delays, and Kanye West “turning up.” in interviews discussing his difficult relationship with Nike, his future work with to adidas on a long-term basis, it could be possible that either Kanye’s lawyers have blocked the release of the Red Octobers/ Or Nike are no longer confident that they will be able to market the Red October without insight and endorsement from brand ambassador/ shoe concept designer “Yeezus.”
