Transport for London have announced – National rail strike action will continue as planned between Tuesday 13 December and Sunday 8 January, read the announcement details in full below.
Over the Christmas and New Year period, there will also be service changes and planned works.
This will affect some services across the network but most of TfL’s services, including the majority of the Tube, will continue to run during this time.

National rail strike action
National rail strike action will happen on the following dates:
- Tuesday 13, Wednesday 14, Friday 16 and Saturday 17 December 2022
- Tuesday 3, Wednesday 4, Friday 6 and Saturday 7 January 2023
Services on London Overground, Elizabeth line and parts of the Bakerloo and District lines will be disrupted on these days.
Services affected by this strike action on the mornings of Thursday 15 and Sunday 18 December, and Thursday 5 and Sunday 8 January are expected to be back to a good service by late morning.

Bus strikes

Bakerloo and London Overground planned closure
Between Saturday 17 and Friday 23 December, there is a planned closure of the Bakerloo line between Queen’s Park and Harrow & Wealdstone, and on the Overground between Euston and Watford Junction.

Christmas and New Year travel
From Friday 23 December 2022 until Monday 2 January 2023, there will be planned service changes and works over the Christmas and New Year period. There will also be national rail strike action between 24 and 27 December.
