Yves Saint Laurent – “L’Amour Fou”

This exclusive clip taken from new documentary L’Amour Fou translated as “Mad Love” is a glimpse from the film exploring the legendary Designer’s greatest Passions. The Director Pierre Thoretton was introduced to Yves Saint-Laurent through mutual friend Catherine Deneuve, and gained unprecedented access to rare intimate photographs of the designer by Helmut Newton and William Klein. L’Amour Fou’s point of entry is the three-day, 2009 Christies auction of the Creator’s art collection following Saint Laurent’s death. The “sale of the century” comprised works by Manet, Picasso and Matisse, art deco furniture and Roman antiquities, amounting to a staggering $480 million (divided between the Yves Saint Laurent Foundation and AIDS charities). The director adds that the collection is a reflection of the integration of his taste and also “It was the growth of his  vision of beauty and aesthetic in the world.”

“L’Amour Fou” opens tomorrow in Paris Theatre, The ultimate entertainment space for New Yorkers the IFC Center and soon in the Uk in select cinemas on May 20th

Junk de Luxe

Junk De luxe has slamming styles, individual pieces, attention to detail. Originality echos through the collection t shirts, polo shirts, shirts with skinny ties, peter pan collars and I really appreciate Junk de Luxe although the brand is not exactly a new kid on the block, this brand is under rated.  The only thing that is pissing me off about Junk de is the fact that the online shopping area of the website has been coming soon since April 2009.
