Earlier this week i-likeitalot.com posted a preview of the wheat coloured Stussy x Timberland 6 inch Boot. Finally Stussy’s online store now stocks all three colour ways (olive, brown, wheat). Each boot will feature the Stussy logo on both the hangtags and tongue. What makes this boot different from any other Timberland collaboration is the inner side zip detail which adds multiple styling options and a much needed differentiating feature which manages not to disrupt the classic Timberland boots signature structure.
i-likeitalot.com presents trends part two….
1) Chunky knitwear is not required if smart jumper is paired with sufficiently down feathered outer wear. Look for v neck sweaters opting for warmer construction made from, merino wool, lambs wool, cotton cashmere or cashmere.
2)Down filled winter jackets are essential for the cold winter, there are numerous brands which manage to mix fashion with function, creating durable and warming outerwear.
3)Hoodies are both fashionable and functional, and have diversified enough to move away from teenage association, match a casual hoodie with jeans , jackets or gilets in the winter. Styling tip, hoodie’s work well zipped up as well as unzipped.
4)City Bags/Overnight holdalls in timeless shades.
5) Denim – a good pair of denims in traditional blues and distressed dark rinses or alternatively try a jean in a bold colour way. Available in a variety of cuts ranging from skinny, straight fit to roomier worker/ utility jeans. Keep it simple.
As we move into the Autumn / Winter 2013 season, i-likeitalot.com presents trends. Our favourite seasonal trends that are timeless and work well across price points.
1)Camo print, made famous by Bape and now a major on season trend camouflage prints are back in fashion, most popular is the rich green, leafy print which can be seen replicated by a majority of streetwear brands.
2) Bobble hats, although not for everyone bobble hats are definitely in, available in a variety of colours for as little as £10 from ASOS and Urban Outfitters. Bobble hats are playful, casual, cost effective , fun and stylish when worn by right guy.
3)Suade/ Nubuck/leather boots are a welcome edition to any wardrobe during the cold winter. Available in a variety of colours we suggest selecting colour ways which are subtle and versatile, safe colours are all black, brown, caramel, wheat and rust. Whether you select a more casual timberland boot with loose laces paired with straight fit jeans, or smarter more gothic style of washed leather boot from All Saints, invest in a pair which will match a smart look, and a pair which will suit a casual look based on the dress code best suited to the establishments that you visit the most.
4) Flannel/Woollen shirts, look good on a majority of men, are fashionable and functional autumn/winter, can be worn buttoned up, or unbuttoned , can be used whilst layering or with a white t shirt.
5)Smart Shoes are more or less essential, pick a pair of versatile shoes which are either sophisticated and timeless, or contemporary and feature as part of a shoe collection. Invest in shoes and be selective, do feel free to over think your decision because a good pair of shoes should last a life time if treated well. Reach a conclusion which you are pleased with, and feel free to compare and contrast before purchasing as a variety of our favourite shoe makers do not offer a full refund, be decisive and purchase as if you are constructing your own cohesive iconic look, which you can build on by buying new outfits as well as incorporating items you already own.
In the Spring/Summer 2011 Dr. Martens began a marketing campaign in which the fan’s of Dr. Martens were asked to submit accounts of their first experiences associated with the brands footwear. Following on from one fans submission Dr. Martens via Twitter during which #FirstandForever became a trending topic a treatment was created which focused on a young couples new love when they first met both wearing Dr. Martens. this was then developed into a short film featuring Agyness Deyn and Ash Symest as the couple in love roaming exploring a seaside town.
