Channel 4’s new television cookery show “The Taste.” serves as Nigella Lawson’s first television show to air since divorcing Charles Saatchi, and marks her return to work after the media backlash received relating to Nigella’s honesty and brilliance during the fraud trial of her former personal assistant where she admitted to occasional use of cannabis and cocaine. According to Julia Llewellyn Smith a feature writer for The Telegraph, who has already reviewed a pilot episode of “The Taste,” the show is “A cross between Masterchef and The Voice, The Taste’s first episode, airing this Tuesday night, sees 25 professionals and amateur cooks compete to impress the three judges (Lawson, US chef Anthony Bourdain and “very French” chef Ludo Lefebvre) with just a single spoonful of food.” The first episode in the series airs exclusively in the UK On Channel 4, Tuesday 7th January at 9pm.
