3)Suade/ Nubuck/leather boots are a welcome edition to any wardrobe during the cold winter. Available in a variety of colours we suggest selecting colour ways which are subtle and versatile, safe colours are all black, brown, caramel, wheat and rust. Whether you select a more casual timberland boot with loose laces paired with straight fit jeans, or smarter more gothic style of washed leather boot from All Saints, invest in a pair which will match a smart look, and a pair which will suit a casual look based on the dress code best suited to the establishments that you visit the most.

4) Flannel/Woollen shirts, look good on a majority of men, are fashionable and functional autumn/winter, can be worn buttoned up, or unbuttoned , can be used whilst layering or with a white t shirt.

5)Smart Shoes are more or less essential, pick a pair of versatile shoes which are either sophisticated and timeless, or contemporary and feature as part of a shoe collection. Invest in shoes and be selective, do feel free to over think your decision because a good pair of shoes should last a life time if treated well. Reach a conclusion which you are pleased with, and feel free to compare and contrast before purchasing as a variety of our favourite shoe makers do not offer a full refund, be decisive and purchase as if you are constructing your own cohesive iconic look, which you can build on by buying new outfits as well as incorporating items you already own.

The One That Got Away: Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse Pack

uspackAM90_1

On the 4th July 2013 Nike Sportswear released three new pairs of the Air Max 90 Hyperfuse, each pair consisted of a solid single colour way drawing inspiration from the colours which make up the American flag. Each bold colourway sports a durable, breathable Hyperfuse upper to help keep you cool whilst working out. The tongue features a stylised nike interpretation of the American flag. One of my personal favourite releaes of the Summer as the colour palette choices something for everyone – minimalist in design this pack included a loud eye catching solar red, a understated porcelain white and a ghetto navy blue. The Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse Pack dropped Saturday, June 29 and are now sold out – due to a little know rapper/producer who was photographed on separate occasions rocking each colour way. You may be able to find these on ebay marked up from the original $120 per pair price. Check out the full Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse Pack in images below.

New Music: Moko – Hand on Heart

Moko

In late February this year Moko, a 21 year old singer from London, burst onto the scene with her debut video ‘Summon the Strength.’

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW6U7-396XA&w=560&h=315]

Paradoxically, you might say, she’s been going from strength to strength. Having performed her first show in early April, she now has two videos out and has been confirmed to play Glastonbury and Brainwave festivals later this year.

The new video ‘Hand on Heart’ is a surreal Luis Bunel style montage of Moko doing her idiosyncratic dance in a Caribbean Barbers.

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8aS4Hhz0Po&w=560&h=315]

Her music has an unmistakable 90’s feel, with striking vocals that echo Shara Nelson and Skin from Skunk Anansie set against Massive attack meets Major Lazor backing track. We love what we’ve heard so far and are eagerly looking looking forward to seeing how the music develops.

To see Moko live catch her at the second headline show at Electrowerkz on the 4th of July. Tickets can be purchased for FREE here.

Star Trek Into Darkness UK Premiere Report

Region capture 10

I-Likeitalot went to Leicester Square in London for the UK premiere of the latest Star Trek film from director JJ Abrams.

Star Trek’s rebirth came in 2009 and we’ve been looking forward to the follow-up ever since. This is one of the biggest occasions in the Summer Blockbuster calendar and the crowd was given a big turnout with nearly every star of the film including Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Noel Clarke.

Writers Damon Lindelof, Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and celebrity fans such as Stephen Fry, Jonathan Ross, Union J and former Pussycat Dolls star Kimberley Wyatt also made an appearance. Of course the Director JJ Abrams himself showed up to promote the film which helps put him in the top tier of directors currently working.

As if rebooting Star Trek wasn’t enough he’s been given the reigns to Star Wars Episode VII with the cast of the original trilogy returning and no doubt the biggest box of film-making toys to play with. The 2 franchises share some DNA having continually inspired and complemented each other for decades, so we think JJ Abrams is the ‘logical’ choice to take George Lucas’s baby off his hands.

Presented by Kadian Noble, Camera & Editing by Jon Neal.
Material from Star Trek Into Darkness copyright of Paramount Pictures.
“Smoke Into Flames” is by Penelope Austin & Robert Conley who produced a track for the Star Trek Into Darkness soundtrack called “The Dark Collide” which will be available to buy this month.
