Last Sunday June 30th the BET AWARDS 2013 took place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, this year BET outdid themselves. The dedicated a star studded live performances including R.kelly taking us to memory lane with a full sets of his hits Chris Brown performing new singles “Fine China” and “They Think They Know” bringing back Aaliyah to life. Kendrick Lamar featuring Erykah Badu whom gave an excellent vocal assistance with the Compton representative. Robin Thicke with Pharrell Willaims and T.I. for the sexy “Blurred Lines”. The Lifetime Achievement Award winner Charlie Wilson were supported by Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams and Snoop Dogg for a wonderful tribute. Tamela Mann which is the new gospel music sensation took the crowd to church with her hit single “Take Me To The King”. Ciara Reaffirming her status of Super star gave an electric performance featuring the Best Female Hip Hop Artist winner Nicki Minaj to perform “I’m Out” followed by her excellent “Body Party”. The caribbean were in town to represent Jamaica as BET took us to memory lane and paid tribute reggae/dancehall music with a surprising medley featuring legends Dawn Penn for her hit “No, No, No”, Chaka Demus & Pliers for “Murder She Wrote” Beenie Man and Elephant Man for “Girls Dem Sugar” “Pon de river” and much more to entertain erveybody.
