Beyonce Covers Flaunt Magazine

Flaunt magazine have published the artistic editorial by photographer Tony Duran shot in 2011 as part of Beyonce’s Year of 4 album era/ campaign echoing themes similar to la officials out of Africa inspired visuals which Beyonce stared in during the same year. In the interview the most interesting Beyonce addresses criticism for endorsing healthy lifestyle in the US Governments move your body campaign and signing a lucrative $50 million dollar deal with Pepsi her response:

‘Pepsi is a brand I’ve grown up seeing my heroes collaborate with,’ Beyonce said. ‘The company respects musicians and artistry. I wouldn’t encourage any person, especially a child, to live life without balance. When you work out, take care of your body, rehearse as hard as I rehearsed in the commercial, I think it’s great to have a Pepsi or Diet Pepsi when you want one. It’s all about choices.’

The interview also highlights the singer’s charitable side, Beyonce donated a quarter million dollars to Hurricane Katrina relief, as well as giving $1 million to aid Haiti after the 2010 earthquake and most recently acted as spokesperson for Gucci’s Chime for Change campaign to promote equal rights for females.

BK said ‘For Chime for Change we raised awareness and over $4 million in one day for equal rights for girls everywhere.’ and that’So many people at that concert were young. They are more socially responsible than they get credit for.’

Beyonce is currently touring the world and her official website encourages fan’s to participate in good will donations with the incentive of winning a gift from Beyonce herself. The official site includes detailed information o how to get involved:

“STARTING THIS SUNDAY YOU CAN PARTICIPATE BY BRINGING CLOTHING ITEMS, ELECTRONICS, AND SMALL HOUSEHOLD GOODS TO SELECT EUROPE VENUES FOR DONATION COLLECTIONS. ALL PARTICIPANTS WHO BRING DONATIONS TO THE VENUE WILL RECEIVE A RAFFLE TICKET AND BE ENTERED INTO A DRAWING THAT WILL TAKE PLACE DURING INTERMISSION.”

Last Sunday June 30th the BET AWARDS 2013 took place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, this year BET outdid themselves. The dedicated a star studded live performances including R.kelly taking us to memory lane with a full sets of his hits Chris Brown performing new singles “Fine China” and “They Think They Know” bringing back Aaliyah to life. Kendrick Lamar featuring Erykah Badu whom gave an excellent vocal assistance with the Compton representative. Robin Thicke with Pharrell Willaims and T.I. for the sexy “Blurred Lines”. The Lifetime Achievement Award winner Charlie Wilson were supported by Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams and Snoop Dogg for a wonderful tribute. Tamela Mann which is the new gospel music sensation took the crowd to church with her hit single “Take Me To The King”. Ciara Reaffirming her status of Super star gave an electric performance featuring the Best Female Hip Hop Artist winner Nicki Minaj to perform “I’m Out” followed by her excellent “Body Party”. The caribbean were in town to represent Jamaica as BET took us to memory lane and paid tribute reggae/dancehall music with a surprising medley featuring legends Dawn Penn for her hit “No, No, No”, Chaka Demus & Pliers for “Murder She Wrote” Beenie Man and Elephant Man for “Girls Dem Sugar” “Pon de river” and much more to entertain erveybody. Yr Customised T Shirt Pop Up Store Carnaby Street London

On Wednesday 26th June i-likeitalot.com visited Yr Store, a futuristic pop-up store which allows customers to design and print their own unique t-shirts, the store officially opened to the public on Carnaby Street on 7th June.

The store features two large interactive digital art walls, which allow visitors to create art using a digital spray can.

The mixture of technology and Graffiti influence allows for freehand design, as well as the use of pre-designed stamps, stencils, colours, effects and backgrounds which can be used to create various designs.

Customers have the option of uploading a photo or design via email, giving you the option to choose your own photo, which you can then customise it in store to create a personalised t-shirt.

The store also includes three interactive touch-pods where you can create patterns, upload images and create your t-shirt design live on an interactive digital display. A variety of American Apparel T-shirts and vests are available for both men and women, with prices starting from £29 for single sided printing to £45 for double sided printing.

The store also has an interactive YrMirror/virtual changing room. The world’s first live digital mirror, which allows you to view a vr version of yourself trying on your t-shirt design before it has been printed.

Once you are satisfied with your design it can then be printed onto an American Apparel t-shirt in minutes.

The store also features artist collaboration which are ready made and can be purchased available in store.” Each limited edition t-shirt comes complete with a custom Yr limited edition number.
