“Sometimes, all it takes is a little change to make a big impact – just ask renowned designers Tinker Hatfield and Eric Avar.
With the simple notion that “less is more,” they would go onto change the landscape of basketball and cross-training with the creation of the Air Flight Huarache and Air Trainer Huarache in 1992. Today, both revolutionary designs return to the culture’s forefront, while retaining what made them great.
A hardwood classic, the Air Flight Huarache emits cold tones with a reflective, all-black leather exoskeleton. Inspired by the fit of a waterski boot, a black neoprene inner-sleeve can be seen through mid-foot cutouts, reducing the amount of material while maintaining its structure. A speckled midsole with red accents around the heel and outsole add small punches of color.
Conversely, the Air Trainer Huarache fuses softer materials with a warm, all-red suede design. Mirroring the same cutouts and sole treatments of its counterpart, a red and black neoprene bootie retains its innovative fit. Completing the design, a black forefoot strap delivers the lockdown stability that has made the legendary silhouette one-of-a-kind”
“Nike’s Air Max 95 needs no introduction, 18 years on from its introduction the famous runner still impresses with its forward thinking, innovative design. This new version for 2013 is constructed suede uppers, successfully playing on the 95’s classic panelled design and is finished with embroidered branding and 3M reflective detailing all sat on top of that iconic visible air sole unit.”

“Originally designed in 1991 by legendary Nike designer Tinker Hatfield, the Nike Air Huarache Men’s Shoe, inspired by Native American sandals, changed the rules with a sock-like neoprene sleeve that conformed to the foot for a custom fit. With added cushioning and impact protection, this shoe delivers a flexible, comfortable and secure ride.”
“The newest colorway of the Air Jordan 6 Retro is a tribute to Spike Lee and his 40 Acres and a Mule production company. The Air Jordan 6 Retro amplifies the Varsity Red and Classic Green accents from the original Jordan Spizike, with an all Varsity Red upper and hints of Classic Green along with a white midsole and translucent outsole. The collar print is taken from the Air Jordan XX, created the same time that the OG Jordan Spizike was designed.”
