‘2D or not 2D’, is a pop art inspired exhibition of faces painted by Valeriya Kutsan to look 2-D and photographed by Alexander Khokhlov with minimal use of photoshop.
“Valeriya used different techniques of face painting so you can see a lot of variations – from sketch and graphic arts to water-colour and oil-paintings. This is a combination of interesting make-ups, studio photography experiments and careful retouching.”

Art : Melodie Briere – African Truth
Brilliant and wonderful work from London Based MakeUp Artist Melodie Briere, Here is a comments on the beautiful and Timeless piece of Art she’s created “Its obviously about pure earth and innocence and resources being squeezed out by europe/china/usa making the continent “bleed”.” The Make up artist used natural white clay for the effect on the skin’s model giving a strong and bigger impact, for a painful and true message giving us a taste of the sad, painful and harsh reality of our modern world.

I would like to introduce you to the talented songstress FKA Twigs, formerly known as Twigs(Yes, that’s what FKA stands for). From listening to her music I believe her name is the perfect correlation between her fragility and the energy she gives on the records Twigs. An exquisite baby face Jamaican part Spanish, a marvel from the restless London town whom started writing at the age of 16 and in my humble opinion an Artist to count on for the future. Her latest effort EP2 brings out the unique voice she has been blessed with, delicate, touching and interacting at 100% with the instrumental produced by the genius that is Arca whom mostly co-produced the project and recently been one of the collaborators for Kanye West latest album Yeezus. We previously posted the first visuals Water Me off her enigmatic and lovely project EP2 released September 17th 2013. Followed by the second brilliant visuals How’s That.
Combining electronic, soul and RnB her sound connects with her vision which is highly artistic. Not too long ago Twigs directed with Tom Beard the experimental Papi Pacify where the beauty grabbed by her man whom holds her mouth in a subtle but sexy way. Not the sexy that we used to these days but one of the sexiest video I have seen thus far.
Following on from a recent announcement Converse and Maison Martin Margiela Paris have released a short clip which includes a first look at an all white converse sneaker modified to fit Maison Martin Margiela’S brand identity, against a black drop moving in slow motion as it smashes through a thin white tile captured in video at a side angle. The eleven second preview suggests a collection which is minimal, clean and embodies the signatures of both brands. Watch the edgy promotional visual for the collection which is coming soon below.
Tate Britain hosts a major exhibition of famous city scapes of celebrated British painter L.S Lowry. The exhibition features various different oil paintings on wood and canvas. The collection includes Coming Out of School (1927) and The Pond (1950) and is one of the largest public exhibitions of Lowry’s artwork since the artists death (1976). The exhibition highlights how Lowry’s depictions of the industrial city influenced by his teacher Adolphe Vallette capture the realities of industrialization and modern life.
