International superstar Akon announced his Akon Lighting Africa initiative at the United Nations headquarters. Senegalese born American raised artist Akon, whose Akon Lighting Africa initiative aims to bring electricity to some of the 600 million Africans who currently lack it, publicly announced the launch of a new “Solar Academy” for the people of Africa.

Brilliant and wonderful work from London Based MakeUp Artist Melodie Briere, Here is a comments on the beautiful and Timeless piece of Art she’s created “Its obviously about pure earth and innocence and resources being squeezed out by europe/china/usa making the continent “bleed”.” The Make up artist used natural white clay for the effect on the skin’s model giving a strong and bigger impact, for a painful and true message giving us a taste of the sad, painful and harsh reality of our modern world.

Lauryn Hill was in London town for her first U.K. performance in five year at the indigO2 on Saturday April 14. Arriving two hours late, then launching into her set list. The performance which lasted 90 minutes was a mixture of Fugees classics, with offerings off her one album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. The set was energetic, entertaining and soulful a majority of fans were mesmerised by the beauty, timelessness and tone of Lauryn’s voice in song, a few fans were left disappointed with the lack of new material and rightfully so, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was released in 1998 and The Fugees, The Score Album even earlier. For the come back gig Ms Hill wore a long metal coloured dress, natural hair with beautiful accessories inspired by Africa and a jacket that never came off.
