Back in September 2011 Beyonce and Tina Knowles hosted the most splendid fashion show to celebrate the launch of the UK debut of the House of Dereon collection. I-likeitalot.com attended the main show and after party. The Invitation only event guestlist included Alexandra Burke, Chipmunk, Wretch 32, Labrinth, Paloma Faith, Rachel Stevens, Rosario Dawnson and Rita Ora to name a few. The fashion show was urban and edgy, the setting Selfridges indoor car park converted into a fashion show complete with runway, in the heart of London’s west end. The special guests who had front row seats (reserved) received a Selfridges gift bag containing a candle, Pulse Beyonce’s newest fragrance and a buyers list of items that appear in the show. When the lights went down the fashion show started with a video montage of scenes of natural disasters played on the huge video installation, the destruction looked as if it came out of a Hollywood feature film, Beyonce’s voiceover clarified the inspiration behind the collection, from what I gathered the new collection was based on the theme of natural beauty in a world of adverse weather conditions the collection is coincidently based on the theme of the female Global Nomad. On the runway the collection was stunning, every single model that walked down the runway looked fantastic, the accessories, pattern, prints, colour and styling was bang on trend. Beyonce Begins Work on Two New Albums
Beyoncé may have given birth to her first child last month, but the singer is already planning two new projects to write and record in 2012. Ryan Tedder, OneRepublic frontman and co-writer of Beyoncé tunes such as “Halo” and “I Was Here,” says that he and other producers are cooking up raw material that the singer will have the option to complete in the studio. “All I can say is, you kind of feed her the best that you have and she’s this phenomenal filter and she takes it all in,” Tedder told the BoomBox at the Grammy Awards ceremony on Sunday.
The new Father and Husband of the Queen Beyonce sent Just hours before the Grammys J Cole a gift. Mr. Carter sent J.Cole a Hollywood Bowl pop-up card with the message “You already won! Living your dreams.” J.Cole also received a $2000 bottle of Louis XIII de Rémy Martin cognac. She has signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label and with Drake, tinie and Chase & Status involved in her debut album, it seems absolutely certain the big time is coming-a-calling for this Albanian born blond.
