The Last Days of Left Eye is a documentary directed by Lauren Lazin which originally premiered back in 2007. Filmed from March 30, 2002 until April 25, 2002, focusing on a spiritual sabatical break at a retreat in Honduras ahead of the realese of critically aclaimed album Supernova the documentary is interesting and insightful, detailing the TLC stars true story narrated by herself. Sadly Lisa Left Eye Lopes was killed when she lost control while driving a Mitsubishi Jeep. The vehicle was forced off road news reports detailed the Jeep rolling several times, hitting trees the force of the impact caused Lopes who was driving and three others to be thrown from the wreckage out of the busted windows. The person in the front passenger seat was videotaping at the time, so the last seconds leading up to the swerve that resulted in the dealy accident were recorded on video, miracolously Lisa severe head trauma, and was the only person fatally injured in the accident. Streaming music via paid subscription or for free legally is helping keep emerging talents and the record industry a float. In times when a variety of new and interesting musicians can release new music independently as well as creating a huge social media fan following without the assistance of major labels, there now more than ever seems to be more choice and a range of various different styles of music which traditionally may have only existed in certain sub cultures and may be considered too far left of mainstream, however a side effect of the freedom to listen to a wide array of music is that there is no filter or indicator to suggest what is worth avoiding. For this reason we have decided to give you an opportunity to listen to new music which may not be commercially successful immediately but would be our choice of ones to watch:
Wild Belle:
Wild Belle are a American Indie Rock Band consisting of brother and sister Elliot and Natalie Bergman, hailing from Chicago, Illinois. Wild Belle recently released their debut album “Isles.” on March 12th, 2013. The awesome album consists of a sophisticated approach to writing songs and composition which blends Ska, Raggae, Rock, Funk and Jazz influences. Sounds like:

Bastille are a band hailing from South London, England, formed in 2010. Bastille started out as a solo project by singer-songwriter Dan Smith, who later decided to form a band who are currently signed to Virgin Records UK. Laura Mvula is a British soul singer-songwriter from Birmingham. Her debut album Sing to the Moon, was released on March 4, 2013 and is currently #9 on the UK album chart. Her voice is a powerful, distinctive and soulful voice. The content of her beautifully arranged songs is expressive, inspiring and refreshing.
