Our Song of the Week is So Far to Go, A song taken from The Shining the second solo album from Super Producer and rapper J Dilla. Featuring Common & D’Angelo this song was originally to be released by Common in 2005 as part of his album Be for a special edition package. In 2007, an alternate version of So Far to Go containing new verses and a new mix was released on Common’s Finding Forever album.
Joey Bada$$ released another J Dilla production for his latest offering Two Lips via Akomplice Clothing which will be donating 100% of the collection profits to buy instruments and music lessons for underprivileged kids.
Akomplice joined forces with The J Dilla Foundation and Joey Bada$$ to create a project to help the less fortunate kids of Detroit, All available here
