Independent horror sensation Obsession has become one of the surprise cinematic success stories of the year.
Directed by Curry Barker, the film follows Bear, a young man whose wish for his crush to love him back turns into a terrifying nightmare. What begins as a supernatural romance quickly descends into psychological horror and obsession. Critics have praised the film for its inventive take on the classic “be careful what you wish for” story.
Despite its modest budget, the film has become a box-office phenomenon, proving that original storytelling can still capture audiences in an era dominated by franchises.
