Last Sunday we went down to Streetfest 2012. If you haven’t heard of Streetfest it’s a yearly street-culture festival held every year in Hearn Street carpark in Shoreditch. Throughout the day there was live street art, dance, skateboarding, bmxing, spoken word and music, but it was into the evening when the real party started. If this is your cup of tea get your butt down there next year!
Grammy Award winning R’n’B singer Chris Brown performed number one single Turn Up The Music for the audience of Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday 9th May. Chris Brown and a team of male dancers turned the ball room dancing show floor into a stage in order to show off the energetic nature of the choreography heavy, base induced banger complete with lasers and audience participation. Under the direction of Ruben Fleischer (“Zombieland”), “The Gangster Squad” is a colorful retelling of events surrounding the LAPD’s efforts to take back their nascent city from one of the most dangerous mafia bosses of all time. The film stars Oscar® nominees Josh Brolin (“Milk,” “True Grit”) and Ryan Gosling (“Half Nelson,” “Blue Valentine”) as the LAPD’s Sgt. John O’Mara and Jerry Wooters; Academy Award® winner Sean Penn (“Milk,” “Mystic River”) as real-life mobster Mickey Cohen; Oscar® nominee Nick Nolte (“Affliction,” “The Prince of Tides”) as LAPD Chief “Whiskey Bill” Parker; and Emma Stone as Grace Faraday, The Gangster Squad is coming out October 12, 2012.
It will be the band’s first album in 11 years and it is set to drop 25th September 2012. The album—which is still untitled has been a long time coming: The band first began work on it in March 2008, after Gwen Stefani wrapped the tour for her second solo album, The Sweet Escape. According to the band’s website, there are 12 songs in the works. The first, “Push and Shove,” is previewed in a just-released webisode below as No Doubt promises “plenty more”.

Known for memory, intelligence and wisdom. the sculptural furniture object is a representation of the supreme deity ganesha. The overall structure is carved from compressed foam with an internal steel frame. the final object is enveloped in fine leather, allowing all the detail to be refined. although not as heavy as an actual elephant, the chair weighs 160 kg or 353 lbs. The throne, simultaneously furniture and sculpture, welcomes the animal into the human environment, an opposing statement to what has been happening for centuries in the wild. ”
