Mary J Blige was paid $2 million dollars to appear in a Burger King commercial in which she sings a jingle about a chicken wrap, after being dragged on twitter by her followers and following a torrent of bad feedback from the black community, many of whom claimed the advert was stereotypical and offensive, the advert was pulled and Mary J Blige and Burger King apologised for releasing an unfinished advert, Burger King wanted to highlight the fact that other celebrities Salma Hayek and Jay Leno are also are advertising the snack wraps. The official video for the second single to be lifted from Mary J Blige… has been released, however those who are expecting a cinematic masterpiece will be disappointed, even more of a shock is the fact that Drake does not feature in this video, neither does his verse play any significant role in the final cut of the music video. Although the video is does not feature a solid narrative structure, the video instead consists of a variety of different beauty shots, great styling which stays true to and compliments Mary J Blige’s unique style of swagger and choreography.
