London Pleasure Gardens

“London Pleasure Gardens, a major new 20 acre site in the heart of Olympic East London, is opening its doors for the very first time on Saturday 30th June. The colossal project, brought to life by the team behind Glastonbury’s Shangri-La and Mutate Britain with support from Newham Council, has transformed this forgotten stretch of wasteland into a bona-fide wonderland, ready to host a plethora of innovative, world-class art and culture events. The concept was inspired by the Pleasure Gardens that existed between the 17th and 19th centuries, where people from all walks of life converged to immerse themselves in the culture that makes London great”

” The features on site sound incredible: a 2,800 capacity sound proofed and projection mapped space for all night partying, a floating cocktail lounge with 24hr license and a bridge of boats, an art hotel and restaurant, a 27,000 capacity open space for concerts, a large-scale sculpture garden and an uninhibited nature reserve…the list goes on”
