Plan B Ill Manors [Movie Trailer]

Plan B developed Ill Manors to highlight world majority of people don’t believe exists:
“Best known so far for his music career, Plan B today releases his hard-hitting directorial debut Ill Manors – an eye-opening portrait of crime on the streets of Britain – and talked about his intentions for making the movie. The film depicts prostitution, drug abuse, violence and gang culture, tracing the individuals right back to the source of their predicament, which lead to the situation that they find themselves in. Plan B aka Ben Drew has insisted that, despite all of the events occurring in the space of a week, the film is indeed an accurate depiction of what happens in some areas of London.”

Ill Manors is out in the UK cinemas today

Plan B – ill Manors [Official Music Video]

Plan B shows us a protest video done right. The track contains a brilliant sample lifted from the equally brilliant Alles Neu by Peter Fox. We’ve been enjoying this for a while, and wanted to share as it sums up England pretty much the state of England

“We’ve had it with you politicians, you bloody rich kids never listen, There’s no such thing as broken Britain, we’re just bloody broke in Britain, What needs fixing is the system, not shop windows down in Brixton Riots on the television, you can’t put us all in prison”

New Music : Plan B – iLL Manors

Yesterday, Plan B aka Ben Drew released a new single that comes off the soundtrack for his upcoming directoral debut film, iLL Manors. The track shares the same title as the film and it shows a strong departure from Plan B’s previous efforts on The Defamation of Strickland Banks and instead sees the singer return to his rap-roots in an oh-so-delicious way. He’s back to taking jabs at politics and the working classes, spitting out some pretty solid verses on top of a really wonderful violin-infused dance beat. It’s a return to the Plan B I loved on Who Needs Actions When You Got Words. Take a listen to the single “iLL Manors” below, which will be on the soundtrack for Drew’s film, out May 4th.

I Like it a lot : StooShe

All three members Karis, Courtney and Alex write their own material and have been whipping up a bit of a storm with their infectiously catchy, sweary and distinctly British urban pop. A support slot on a tour with N-Dubz and a free download entitled The Stoosh Tape generated a lot of buzz and before long the trio were paired with producer Futurecut who has been working with Wretch 32, Lily Allen, Professor Green and Plan B to name a few. The music video for their first single Betty Woz Gone is based on a true story, a sorry tale of a young mother more interested in a good time than looking after her kids, especially loved the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air part. Expect to hear much more of these young ladies who are just doper than cream, Press Play Below to watch the lyric video of Betty Woz Gone by the very talented Stooshe.
