Tinie Tempah x Disturbing London Event at Selfridges

Last Saturday Tinie Tempah held a party to celebrate the launch of his brand Disturbing London at the rooftop cafe of Selfridges. We were treated a live performance by the delectable and extremely talented Delilah. Rather than it being a showcase of the brand it was more of a party, not that we were complaining.

Check out our gallery of the event below:

If you’re interested in seeing what all the fuss is about get your ass down to Selfridges, where Disturbing London is currently stocked.

Bottle your Summer with Carling Zest App Recap

So yesterday we told you about the new app that Carling have brought out to promote their new flavour of beer. And being the inquisitive people we are we thought we’d take some time to check it out ourselves. Basically the aim is to produce a two minute track, with a selection of samples provided, these range from dogs barking to bottles being opened.

Took some time for us to get used to all the controls but in the end we created something beautiful. In fact, this may well revolutionize the music industry… well maybe revolutionize is a bit strong, but you can certainly spend a couple of hours messing around with samples and pretending you’re a producer. And while you’re at it you could win the competition and bag yourself a free weekend at V Festival. Need I say more?

If you’re interested to see how we did have a look at this!

Summer Bottled by Carling Zest with Dj Yoda, Jaguar Skills and Dj Food/ V festival Comp.

Ever wondered what would happen if you recorded all the sounds of the Summer and made it into music? No? Well it seems like Carling have and with the help of DJ Yoda, Jaguar Skills and DJ Food, they’ve created the Carling-Zest app which enables you to make your own summer track and upload it to You-Tube. Incidentally this just so happens to coincide with the launch of a new summer beer called “Carling Zest” (coincedence?)

Each DJ has created their own track to inspire you plus a mini documentary of how they created it. Have a look at DJ Yoda’s below:

Samsung: Look. Don’t touch

If you’re wondering why Angela Belotte of Victoria’s Secret is here doing the Black Panther salute, she’s actually advertising a new range of Smart TVs which feature Samsung’s new motion control interface. Which instead of using an antiquated remote control, allows you to use hand movements to control your TV.

We reckon this is a step in the right direction, no more looking for that damn remote control, or finding that it’s been half eaten by your dog or flatmate. Soon everything will be controlled by hand movements including doors, lifts, hover-boards and your flying car. Anyway, as part of the campaign Samsung have produced this short propaganda movie, which shows how hilarious it can be to be a sexy model who owns one of these Smart TV’s. Enjoy!

I Like It A Lot Recommends: Breaking Bad

If you’re like me and you generally avoid watching TV, finding a series worth spending time on can be a bit of a task. But every now and then something pops up that takes over your life. Breaking Bad is definitely one of those!

At the beginning we meet Walter White( played by Bryan Cranston,) a high school chemistry school teacher with a seemingly comfortable life in Albuquerque, New Mexico. However, after learning he has a terminal form of lung cancer, he decides to use his knowledge of chemistry to cook Crystal Meth. Enlisting the help of former drop-out student Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul,) he creates a double life that plunges him into a world of murder, violence, deception and money laundering. (Did I mention that his brother-in-law is a senior agent in the DEA?)

Four Season’s in Breaking Bad is quite simply the Baddest TV Drama you’re likely to see this year. The Characters are on point, the humour is dark and dirty and there are more twists and turns than the intestine of a Blue Whale.

The fifth and final season airs in July… plenty of time for a week long Breaking Bad Marathon.

Tiger Beer presents: Hidden Depths of Ninja Tune, Recap

Last night we went down to Fabric for the launch of Tiger Beer’s series of events entitled Hidden Depths which explore the hidden talent within the UK’s leading music labels. This time round it was the turn of Ninja Tune, who supplied the evenings entertainment with Floating Points, a live set from Thundercat and Slugabed.

Not only was the soundsystem and the music top-notch, but we were able to get our hands on a free t-shirt printed by the Hit and Run crew on the night. It was a bit of a long-arse que but it was worth the wait, I tell thee.

I have it on authority that there are big things to come from Tiger Beer this year, so stay tuned for more updates!
