Alicia Keys performed a World Aids Day Special performance in conjunction with the promotion of her up coming album The Element of Freedom at the Nokia Theater in Manhattan on Tuesday night. I am eagerly anticipating the new album and am looking forward to seeing Alicia Keys in London, details of the Element of Freedom tour dates will be posted as and when they appear. If this show is anything to go by expect a showing that is beautiful, intimate and soulful. Many artist struggle to make it on a world stage and New Yorker Alicia Keys is not one of them. Songs in A Minor, Diary of Alicia Keys, As I Am are all extraordinary bodies if work that are timeless. Both singles from the Element of Freedom are nothing less than what is required to make this one of the best modern r’n’b/soul/ blues/jazz fusion albums of late free from auto tune 2009. I am happy that Alicia is really coming into her own and I hope that Alicia has rejects her previous boring persona that the record label/publicists create and is showing us more interesting facets of her being an excellent performance artist, singer, songwriter and interesting personality. The Element if Freedom is released world wide December 15, 2009
Jeremih Raindrops Video
The video for Jermih Raindrops, the follow up single to Birthday Sex has finally appeared. The self titled album is available now on amazon.com for $5.00. No details on a release date for an album release jn the UK have been confirmed which is surprising in an industry which has a huge vacancy for credible R’n’b Male vocalist that will be able to move units in the U.S as well as in Europe.

Run This Town
I’ve been informed that this will be an all-day celebration of sneaker culture starting at 1pm featuring the best collections of sneakers/trainers/crepes you could wish to buy in London. Also you can buy street wear and chillax and listen to great guest DJs playing throughout the day. The party starts at 8pm. According to a reliable source “There’ll also be old skool films, a Nail Bar, fresh French crêpes (hey, you know we had to!), Kick Portraits by Andy Merritt and Dan Arnold and a charity raffle with some excellent prizes from all of the big brands. During the day there will be fifteen stalls from some of the biggest and most well-known sneaker collectors and resellers in London, including The Other Side Of The Pillow from London Fields, all selling a mix of bargains and extremely exclusive trainers. There will be at least 1000 pairs on view and the wide range of products for boys and girls from ALL of the brands, including Nike, Adidas, Puma, Vans and New Balance.” I would be grateful if someone could pick me up some Nike Air Yeezys UK size 9 preferably the grey or khaki colour way, or some Olympic Limited Edition Quickstrikes in the Ketchup Red Colour! *Special thanks to Dean Miller for the Alert!
